Brittin Piano Tuning started out back in 1960 when Evans Brittin, a music major with a Masters degree in Music Education

started a piano tuning business using his piano tuning experience gained in college. Evans was a popular musician in Springfield who had a dance band, played piano at Shakey's Pizza Parlor, directed church choirs and entertained at nursing homes and the Governor's Mansion. His son, Charlie, joined the business in 1973; and unfortunately, we lost Charlie to cancer in 2011. His other son, Joe, also trained under Evans and is carrying on the business with Evans' passing away in 2015.  Third generation technician Brad was also able to be trained under Evans and is now helping to carry on the business.
